Sausage Biscuit

Sausage Biscuit

I've never made this, but a friend makes it a lot.

Use one side of the pie iron to cook a sausage patty.
Cut a Grands biscuit into quarters.
When the sausage patty is about 2/3 done, Put the quartered biscuit in the corners of the pie iron to hold the sausage patty in the center.
Finish cooking.

My buddy has two irons and thats all he brings camping. He says to think small in size, but big in flavor.

I guess I'm off to the store to buy me one. HA!

Hi Oysterpot

I know the feeling. I'm still a propane stove guy. But Dan has sparked my interest. I guess its time to devote my life to CAST IRON. I do have a 10" dutch and I use it, not as much as I should.

I'll get a hold of Donnie and see if he has any more pie iron recipes.

Later Folks!
