Winter Gathering

Postby Camp_Master » Thu Dec 23, 2010 5:12 pm

Hi Everyone

Longtime no see or chat! I'm ready to get out and do some cooking. I picked up a small 6" Dutch for fun, just to have all of them, 5 through 14.

My mind has been wandering and want to know If anyone would be interested in freezing?

Hey Outlaw, We could finish burning all the wood you had and the wood I forgot from the last gathering.

We could get the same pavilion which had the fireplace and then hang a few tarps to seal it in, if needed.

Let me know and maybe we could do something in mid to late January. Buurrrrrr! We could check the Farmers Almanac for some favorable dates.

Hi Everyone

Its been quiet around here and winter is over (I hope).

I've been pretty busy since the holidays promoting a new website with a friend of mine. Now that is done, its back to the fun things in life.

I would like to have a Gathering March 26th. Lets do it up right. Let me know what you think and I will secure a pavilion at Kings Mountain. If ya'll could chip in to help offset some cost I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey Outlaw, Post some info about your BBQ cook offs. I would like to meet you at one and see how they work.

Looking forward to a great spring and summer.

Hi Everyone,

Been busy around here getting the van and cooker ready to start cooking BBQ.
Makeing changes hope they turn out for the good. Our first cook is March 26 for the
ones that like to see a calendar go to www.scbarbeque.com then go to events
calendar. We will cook or judge three weekends in April and May then things will
slow down. Hope to do seven cooks this year. A gathering sounds good to me
post it and if we can we will be there. Hope to see everyone soon.

Hi Outlaw

I'm not sure what to do about having a Dutch Oven Gathering as we did not get a big response. I know once spring fever hits and the spring chores are done, we'll be back in action.

Keith, I haven't forgot about ya.

I got an email from Dave Coleman about the Mile High Gathering in July. I'll get the PDF's uploaded and posted for everyone to see.

My summer is wide open for a gathering. As everyone reads this post, pick some dates that fit your schedule and we'll narrow it down as best we can to accommodate.

Hey Outlaw

Are you cooking or judging next weekend? What time are you going to be there?

We would like to come down and see how the BIG BOY do it. :D

Clover is about 90 minutes from us. If Anybody else wants to come, we can talk about a future DOG while we chow on Outlaw's BBQ. 8-)

Hey Dan,
We are cooking, we will get there Friday afternoon. Set up, go to cooks meeting,
get the meat and get it ready to put on by 9:00PM. I think we are to serve at 11:00AM
Saturday. If they do it the same as last year you pay 10.00 and eat all you can.
Go to www.bordertownbbqcookoff.com and take a look. 256 Community Park Dr. Clover.
Hope to see you there
